Introduction
The past month has seen some major progress with various new systems being created. This has undoubtedly been our most productive month and we're excited to share some of the finer details with you.
This is a new format to replace our old Development Blogs - each section below will detail the changes and updates that have been made as well as what's to come!

Our UI has received a fresh new look. Registration will be done through the UCP (via application) but in the meantime a new registration screen has been added in.
We've also revamped the login and character selection screen to be more consistent across the board. The character selection screen will be modified with some more stats throughout development.

Phone System
The design for our new phone system is complete!
We understand a lot of players rely on the phone system to create roleplay opportunities via things like advertisements and social media, so we plan to make the phone system as immersive as possible.
We've styled the phone after a very notable brand known for their simplistic interfaces and satisfying user experience. This makes it more immersive to the player and makes the phone feel smooth, fluid and snappy. The app system allows the development team to add features in the future. Some features we plan to add include:

- Alternative messaging app with disappearing messages (similar to another famous brand)

Inventory System
This update brings a more interactive and immersive way to manage your items, trade with others, and handle in-game cash transactions.

Current Features
- Item Dropping & Pickup – Players can now drop items from their inventory, leaving them in the world for others to pick up. Whether you’re handing off supplies to a friend, stashing something for later, or just clearing space, this system ensures items have real-world presence instead of disappearing into the void.
- World Item Persistence – Dropped items will remain in the world until they are picked up or automatically cleaned up by the server. Cleanup events will happen at set intervals throughout the day and will be announced in advance to give players time to retrieve anything valuable before it’s gone.
- Inventory-Based Cash System – Cash now appears in your inventory as a physical item, meaning you can manually place it down like any other item. This also enables direct player-to-player cash transactions, making payments more immersive and realistic.
- Player Trading – A proper "Give" and "Receive" system for seamless item transfers without needing to drop things on the ground (currently still in development)

Corpse & Carry System
We're excited to introduce the first phase of our new Death & Injury System, designed to add realism and deeper roleplay interactions when players are downed or killed. With this initial release, we’re focusing on two core mechanics: corpse persistence and player carrying.
Current Features
This is just the beginning! In future updates, we plan to add:
Corpse Interactions – Law enforcement will be able to investigate bodies for clues, EMS can tag and remove corpses, and criminals might even have ways to dispose of evidence.
Cleanup System – Bodies will be removed periodically if not attended to
Inventory & Looting – Players will eventually be able to search downed players which will be incorporated into an overall /frisk command
This system is a yet another step towards making BCRP more immersive, and we’d love to hear your feedback.

- Corpse Persistence – When a player is killed, their body now remains in the world instead of instantly disappearing. This means crime scenes stay active longer, giving law enforcement and emergency services a chance to respond. - Player Carrying – When a player is downed but not dead, they can now be picked up and carried by others. This opens up new roleplay possibilities, from EMS placing the character into an ambulance to criminals dragging an injured accomplice to safety. Simply approach a downed player and press E to move them.
This is just the beginning! In future updates, we plan to add:

New jobs have been added! We have yet to fully develop these jobs just yet, but they currently function on the server as a method for players to earn money. As it stands, these are the jobs currently available:

- Automatically recognise number plates and display details and flags related to that vehicle

Factions
Factions have received a rework! We started with a very basic system when development first begun on BCRP, and we are now working to advance this into more complex features and systems.
Administrators and Faction Management will have a general overview of all factions and their ranks via a simplified menu. This will be expanded to allow further updates to be made by Faction Management that leaders should not have access to, such as changing the name of the faction, the colour scheme, the abbreviation, etc.


PLEASE NOTE: We are developing the core faction system to be as dynamic as possible which should allow changes to be made to factions while the server is running. This means factions will not be "hard coded" into the game, so if faction leaders wish to make changes to their faction they will not have to wait for the server to be restarted or for the next update to arrive.
Importantly, this also means we will be able to liaise with faction leaders before the server is launched to ensure the factions are set up exactly how the leaders and Faction Management would like.
The list of factions above may change on launch, for example BCMS will likely be incorporated into BCFD.

Speedometer
Speedometer UI has now been added to vehicles. This displays your speed in MPH along with three icons to show the status of your lights, locks and engines.
Emergency vehicles have two additional icons to show the status of the emergency lights and sirens.

Control Panel
We have begun working on a Control Panel which will act as a clean, responsive hub for all your roleplaying needs. Here's an overview of the plans we currently have for this Control Panel:

- Online players tab
- View a list of online players
- Add an administrator control panel that launches when clicking a player name
- Add a search function to online players
- Vehicles tab
- View a list of all vehicles owned by the player alongside their status
- Add images to each vehicle
- Add a spawn button to spawn the vehicle (replaces the NativeUI system we currently have)
- Properties tab
- View a list of all properties owned by the player alongside their status and category (e.g. house, business, garage)
- Set a waypoint to the property from this Control Panel

- View details on your current faction
- View players that are currently online in your faction
- View OOC notices posted by Command+
